Am I destined to live in her shadow?

ok, heres the story, you are dating a guy who came out of a fairly long relationship about five months ago. He now considers you as being his girl and things are dandy between you. The thing is, his ex is still really good friends with some of his family since they were together so long and you constanly feel like you are living in her shadow. He still has a picture of them together on his myspace, she still interacts with his family,even without him there. They also tend to meet casually as they work in the same building. what do I do about this? I am usually pretty secure but im an emotional wreck now, I feel so insecure and keep comparing myself to her because she still seems be a big part of his life even though he wont admit it... any advice is highly appreciated...
